Subject: Use of University Facilities - Carl R. Reng Center
POLICY
-
Eligibility to use the Carl R. Reng Center is determined by the Reng Center
management in accordance with established policies.

For scheduling events in the Reng Center, the following priorities apply:
a. Official university student functions on a first-come, first-serve
basis.
b. Other official university functions, groups or organizations.
c. Non-university groups or events.

The Reng Center management reserves the right to alter priority meetings
if, in the management's estimate, it is in the best interest of Arkansas
State University.

At no time will any group or individual be allowed space in the Reng Center
if the result is of a competitive nature with agencies operating in the
Reng Center.

At no time may any outside catering service bring food or beverages into
the Reng Center nor may users of the Reng Center bring food or beverages
into the Reng Center with the following exception:
a. The Red Cross may bring food and beverages to use during Red
Cross blood drives.

Use of the Reng Center must conform to all other university policies.
REGULATIONS

Standing reservations for Reng Center space are not permitted.

The Reng Center may not be reserved for personal use such as for weddings
and/or receptions or for high school proms.

The Reng Center reserves the right to assess damage fees to users of the
Reng Center. Failure to pay those fees results in loss of privileges
to use the Reng Center.

Non-profit organizations may use the Reng Center no more than once each
year without charge with the following exceptions:
- The Red Cross may conduct blood drives at the Reng Center more
than once
each year without charge.
- The Reng Center may not be lawfully used by non-university
groups for religious
purposes as defined in the Reng Center operating
procedures manual.
