Subject: Cable Television Service
POLICY
The university provides cable television to residence hall students.

Fees and services for cable television services are established through
the Department of Residence Life.

The university operates an information channel on the cable system that
provides advertising and announcements of university activities to students,
faculty and staff.

The university operates a downlink satellite channel for special educational
programs.
PROCEDURES

Residence hall students may request premium services through Cox Communications.

Request for downlink service must be made by requisition and approved by
Finance and Administration. A set-up fee is charged to the department.
REGULATIONS

No individual may extend cable television services by any means to another
room, including a second room of a suite, or to any person without university
authorization.

The Department of Residence Life reserves the right to inspect periodically
and without notice, a resident student's room for theft of signal. If such
inspection reveals damages and/or theft of signal, the student will be
subject to retroactive service charges and disciplinary action.

Repairs are made between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. There
is no repair service on nights, weekends or holidays.

Repeat callbacks for repairs other than for cable system equipment failure
may result in a service charge to the student.
